On the 24th November, NFRC and three members scoop awards and the Annual NHIC Awards Luncheon. NFRC have been long time supporter and member of the NHIC.
On the 24th November, the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) Annual Awards Luncheon took place in the wonderful surroundings of the Gladstone Library, One Whitehall Place. NFRC have been long time supporter and member of the NHIC.
In all there were 9 categories and NFRC and its members did extremely well. The ‘Award for Excellence in Roofing’, sponsored by NFRC, went to Wensley Roofing Ltd for their fine example of upgraded roofing that shows compatibility with the environment plus high quality workmanship. The award was collected by NFRC Head of External Affairs Debbie Simcock and Company Secretary Gary Simcock on their behalf.

There were also joint runner ups for this award which went to AST Roofing (Bournemouth) Ltd and Bauder Ltd. So a huge congratulations to all three companies!
The success didn’t end there as NFRC also went away with the ‘Raising Training and Skills Standards TrustMark Scheme Operator’ Award, sponsored by TrustMark in conjunction with the NHIC Educational Trust, for our CompetentRoofer scheme. The judges said: ‘The CompetentRoofer scheme means that social landlords, householders, private landlords and business owners get an ‘all-in-one’ service that does not need Building Control Officer approval.’

The final category of the ceremony was ‘Best Energy Solution for a Community Building’ which was won by Ploughcroft Solar.
