The RT Hon Alok Sharma MP Clarifies Position on Manufacturing

Similar to the letter to the construction industry published last week, Alok Sharma the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has written to the UK manufacturing sector thanking them for their support in keeping the economy going and stating:

"…there is no restriction on manufacturing continuing under the current rules."

Status of Supply and Availability during Coronavirus Crisis

We have asked NFRC Supplier Members to provide us with links to their website that details the impact of conronavirus on stock availability, lead times, changes to delivery procedures, advice for product on sites that are being closed, etc. If you need specific information regarding a product supply that is not covered on the manufacturer's advice page, please let us know and we will try and get their information updated.

For many suppliers, merchants and service providers, it is increasingly "business as usual". We have therefore introduced a 'traffic light' system to indicate their current trading status:

RED—Closed
AMBER—Partially open (eg not all outlets, or limited collection/delivery options)
GREEN—Open for business

Please also use our roofing materials search facility for contact details of any companies who have not provided us with specific COVID-19 information, and hence are not listed, or do not have website links below.

Note that we are reliant on suppliers to update us if their trading status changes.

Please contact our dedicated helpline 0330 123 4714* or email coronavirus@nfrc.co.uk if you have any question not covered by these FAQs (for personal health issues please refer to the NHS). We are regularly monitoring updates from the NHS, Government and our industry partners to ensure we keep our information current and relevant.

The hotline is available to NFRC members only. An 0330 number is the cost of a local call, wherever you are calling from within the UK. In most cases it is also within your 'inclusive minutes' for your mobile phone contract; so most callers will not be charged for calling the helpline from a mobile phone.
