Entry Terms & Conditions
The “Young Roofer of the Year” award (“Award”) has s been developed in conjunction with BMI Group UK & Ireland, BMI House, 2 Pitfield, Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes MK11 3LW. The UK Roofing Awards are organised by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, 31 Worship Street, London, EC2A 2DY (“NFRC”).
By entering the Award, either by nominating an individual or self-nomination, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms of Entry, and to the use of personal information in accordance with
NFRC’s Privacy Policy
Entry to the award is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man aged over 16 years.
Entries from agents, third parties or consumer groups will not be accepted.
Award nominations can be made until the published closing date.
Entries will only be accepted if entered via the online form (
https://www.nfrc.co.uk/uk-roofing-awards/young-roofer-award
) and comply with the following entry criteria: The young roofer is the “nominee”
The nominee needs to be:
Currently an apprentice or
Currently completing a roofing NVQ or
A qualified roofer for no more than three years
They do not need to be an NFRC member.
Nomination reason; they should have:
Excelled in the workplace or
Exceptional roofing skills or
Excelled in delivery or learning in training or apprenticeship or
Helped develop their employers or own business or
Lead the way with Health and Safety compliance or
Making a significant contribution to the roofing sector.
They will have done the above by:
Excelling in their performance in the workplace or
Working on a particularly technically hard/challenging roof/project or
Going the extra mile at work or
Being given additional responsibility by their employer due to roofing skills or approach to work or
Taking on additional learning to further their career in roofing or
Showed particular business acumen, resulting in increased business being won or additional revenue for the business or
Impacted way of working in the roofing sector.
All entries must be received by the closing date. NFRC or BMI Group UK & Ireland accepts no responsibility or liability for any lost or incomplete entries and all such entries will be deemed invalid. Proof of dispatch shall not be proof of entry.
Nominations will be judged by a panel of NFRC and BMI Group UK & Ireland representatives. The judges reserve the right to re-classify or reject any entry that does not comply with the requirements of these Terms of Entry. No feedback will be given on individual entries. In all matters, the decision of the judges shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
Winners of the Award exclude employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, its associated agents or anyone professionally associated with the administration of this Award.
The Winner will be announced at the UK Roofing Awards.
Attendance to the UK Roofing Awards for Winner and one guest will be awarded to the Winner, however no other costs will be paid for (including by not limited to travel and accommodation).
NFRC the right at its sole discretion to alter or cancel the Awards and to amend these Terms of Entry without prior notice.
All entries may be used by NFRC and BMI Group UK & Ireland for normal commercial purposes including within publicity and marketing for the UK Roofing Awards. By entering you agree to such use without restriction or condition. NFRC and BMI Group UK & Ireland shall be entitled to edit or amend your entry as it sees fit for these purposes.
These Terms of Entry shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
The organiser reserves the right to amend, cancel or withdraw the promotion at any time without notice.
