NFRC Charitable Trust Legacies

LEAVING A GIFT IN YOUR WILL TO THE NFRC CHARITABLE TRUST

Whatever you are able to leave will make a big difference to our work with the UK roofing community and their families.

There are three types of gift you can leave in your Will to support our work:

  1. A share of your estate (called a residuary legacy) is the whole or a percentage of the remainder of your estate, once all other legacies and costs have been paid. This is a great way to provide for your family and friends and also pass on what you have to help future generations.
  2. A specific sum (called a pecuniary legacy) e.g. £10,000.
  3. A specific item of value such as antiques or jewellery.

Once you have decided what type of gift you would like to leave in your Will, please ask your solicitor to use one of the suggested wordings below.

FOR A RESIDUAL LEGACY

“I give the whole or a share (state the percentage) of the residue of my estate to NFRC Charitable Trust (Registered Charity No. 268474) of 31 Worship Street, London, EC2A 2DY, for its charitable purposes, and I declare that the receipt of their Treasurer or any other proper officer of NFRC Charitable Trust shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”

FOR A PECUNIARY LEGACY

“I give free of tax to NFRC Charitable Trust (Registered Charity No. 268474) of 31 Worship Street, London, EC2A 2DY, the sum of £ (amount in figures, amount in words) for its charitable purposes, and I declare that the and I declare that the receipt of their Treasurer or any other proper officer of NFRC Charitable Trust shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”

FOR A SPECIFIC ITEM

“I give to NFRC Charitable Trust (Registered Charity No. 268474) of 31 Worship Street, London, EC2A 2DY, (write here what you wish to give) for its charitable purposes, and I declare that the and I declare that the receipt of their Treasurer or any other proper officer of NFRC Charitable Trust shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”
