Technical Manager–Pitched Roofing
NFRC are looking for a technical manager to develop, manage, and ensure the delivery of the Federation’s technical information on slating and tiling. The individual will have practical knowledge of the installation of all types of slating and tiling and a traditional metal roofing discipline and be able to communicate that practical advice to members of the NFRC and the public.
Key responsibilities include
- Identify, assess, and respond to technical issues impacting roofing products and their manufacture.
- Represent NFRC on British and European Standards Committees, as well as relevant regulatory and industry bodies, as required.
- Contribute to and support the work of NFRC Technical Committees, with a particular focus on pitched roofing systems and support the work group on traditional metal systems.
- Monitor regulatory and policy developments, identifying associated risks and opportunities, and effectively communicate their implications to NFRC members.
- Support NFRC’s active participation in, and where appropriate leadership of, the technical agenda, including the development and review of National Occupational Standards.
