DWP & CITB Webinar: Youth Guarantee Funding for Employers

The Government's Youth Guarantee aims to ensure every young person has access to further education, training or employment opportunities.

The Government's Youth Guarantee aims to ensure every young person has access to further education, training or employment opportunities. As part of this initiative, a range of financial incentives and support programmes are being introduced to help employers recruit and develop young people entering the workforce.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and CITB are hosting a webinar to help employers understand the support available and how these schemes can benefit their businesses.

The webinar will cover:

  • Youth Jobs Grant – £3,000 for employers taking on a young person aged 18–24 who has been claiming Universal Credit and looking for work for more than six months. Employers can pre-register with Jobcentre Plus now, with funding expected to become available this month (June).
  • Apprenticeship Incentive – £2,000 for SMEs recruiting a new apprentice aged 16–24. This funding can be combined with the Youth Jobs Grant and other financial incentives and will be available from October 2026.
  • Jobs Guarantee – Funding to provide a six-month paid job for a young person aged 18–24 who has been claiming Universal Credit for 18 months or more. The programme is currently being piloted in six areas and will be available through Delivery Partners in 25 areas across Great Britain from November 2026.

This webinar is recommended for employers interested in recruiting young people, accessing government support and addressing skills needs within their business.
