Thomas brings a further perspective from the construction products and building envelope sector. 

As Technical Manager (Construction) at Don & Low, Thomas works across areas including roofing membranes, moisture management, airtightness, and building envelope performance. His work with architects, specifiers, manufacturers, and construction professionals reflects the increasingly important role membranes play in the performance of modern buildings. 

With greater focus on energy efficiency, moisture management, and the performance of the building envelope, choosing the right product is only the starting point. It also needs to be correctly specified, installed, and understood. 

Matthew Sexton

BMI UK & Ireland

Matthew Sexton brings extensive experience of construction standards, technical compliance, and fire performance to the discussion.

As Technical and Compliance Director at BMI UK & Ireland, he is closely involved in the development and application of industry standards, including work with BSI and the Construction Products Association. He also chairs the BSI committee responsible for the external fire performance of roofs.

For contractors and manufacturers, understanding how these standards affect real-world roofing systems is increasingly important as fire safety and building performance requirements continue to develop.
