CITB Launches New Online Portal for Grant Applications
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has launched a new Online Services portal, designed to simplify the way employers manage their CITB Grants Scheme and related processes.
Through the new platform, employers can now submit and manage applications for Apprenticeship, Qualification, and Short Course grants directly online—removing the need to send applications via email. The portal also allows employers to submit their Levy Return in the same digital environment, streamlining several key administrative tasks in one place.
One of the major advantages of CITB Online Services is the ability to save draft applications, track progress once they’ve been submitted, and manage user permissions within an organisation. Employers can easily control who has access to sensitive information, ensuring secure and efficient collaboration across teams.
For employers already holding a CITB Levy or Grant account, accessing the new system is straightforward, and existing login details can be used without the need for re-registration. However, it’s worth noting that Levy and Grant access must be requested separately—so employers who currently only have Levy access should use the “request access to your employer” option to enable Grant access before submitting applications.
To help employers make the most of the new portal, CITB has released a comprehensive set of guides and support materials explaining how to sign up, navigate the system, and submit applications successfully. Additional assistance is also available from local CITB advisers, who can provide one-to-one support where needed.
While the traditional email submission route will remain available for the time being, CITB is encouraging all employers to transition to the new online platform as soon as possible. The digital move reflects CITB’s ongoing commitment to improving accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in managing grants and levy returns across the construction industry.
