CUPA PIZARRAS "Best of the Best" 2026 Entries Open Now
Bringing together all the vital information for entry in one place, the website has been designed to make it easier for roofers to nominate their projects and compete for the grand prize – an unforgettable experience in Madrid, including an exclusive trip to the CUPA PIZARRAS quarries and a football match at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The new website also hosts the full and vibrant history of the competition, making it a useful hub of inspirational project examples. Visitors will be able to view the winners’ Hall of Fame and watch previous years’ videos to see the very best of contemporary slate design and installation.
Now open for entries, the competition aims to showcase talent in the roofing industry, while also finding the best installations of CUPA PIZARRAS natural slate. More than 250 roofs are installed around the world everyday using CUPA PIZARRAS natural slate in a wide range of designs, with high quality installation playing a fundamental role in the success of these projects.
Open to roofing contractors globally, the ‘Best of the Best’ competition is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the very best of what can be achieved. Winners of the three previous competitions hailed from France. However, Scottish company Compass Roofing took the crown in 2022.

Simply participating in the competition is an accolade, given the global exposure it provides. Last year’s UK winner, CP Roofing Solutions proudly displays their Best of the Best Champion’s Logo on their marketing materials, with company director Chris Shaw describing it as a “massive achievement” for their small team.

Entrants are welcome to use their imagination and creativity, and feature either a completed project or one still in progress. As a thank you, all participants will receive a goodie bag that will make your life easier when installing natural slate roofs.
The deadline for submissions is the 30th of November, and the first phase of voting will take place in the first week of December. All videos will be collated by country, and a public vote will select the national winners.
Following this, a specialised international jury with a recognised track record in the field of natural slate will select the overall winner. The lucky winner will be crowned ‘Master of the Year’ and be whisked away to Spain for a once in a lifetime trip.
