NFRC’s Technical team is looking to compile a matrix of Supplier Members’ Environmental Product Declarations.
NFRC's Technical team is looking to compile a matrix of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). We are requesting that manufacturers who have EPDs for their products contact Gary Walpole, who will collate the matrix, which can be used by Trade Members when they are choosing material for their projects. An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) transparently reports objective, comparable and third-party verified data about products and services' environmental performances from a lifecycle perspective. Where the EPD is the final report, the foundation of any EPD is a life cycle assessment (LCA). The LCA allows you to evaluate your product's environmental performance over its entire life cycle. It typically takes into consideration your full value chain, from material extraction to manufactured product, its usage stage and end of life.
It is a pretty gloomy construction industry in the UK, at present, and one chink of light has been growing support for the Conflict Avoidance Process - CAP.
Ensuring a competent, professional and accountable workforce remains a key priority for NFRC, particularly as the industry continues to adapt to the requirements of the Building Safety Regime.
