The GRO Bipolar Best Practice Design Guide July 24
This Best Practice Design Guidance has been produced through the GRO Technical Committee and specifically by the GRO BioSolar Working Group, a WG consisting of GRO Manufacturer, Supplier and Contractor members with expertise in the field of Solar and Green roof systems.
This guidance is about the use of building boards of limited- and non-combustibility in flat roofing. The document offers guidance for the use of building boards of limited- and non-combustibility as structural flat roof decks; abutment wall upstands (including parapets); and acoustic mass layers, thermal barriers, cover boards and/or recovery boards in flat roof overlays.
As the UK experiences increasingly extreme summer temperatures, NFRC is calling for climate resilience to become a standard consideration in the design, refurbishment and maintenance of roofs.
Davit arm and anchor systems can provide safe access, rescue and lifting support in demanding work-at-height environments, including confined-space and façade-access applications.
