Have your say: effectiveness of CITB

The Department for Education would like firms’ views on the effectiveness of CITB. This is not the regular consensus process, it is a separate opportunity to input your thoughts. Give your views here.

The Department for Education is reviewing the effectiveness of CITB. This is not the regular consensus process, it is a separate opportunity to input your thoughts on which parts of CITB work well and where improvement is needed. Rather than filling out the government's lengthy survey, you can give your views in relation to the five questions below by completing our short survey, and we will incorporate them into NFRC's response. You can send any additional thoughts to [email protected].

The questions the survey asks are as follows:

1. Do you believe that your business, and the industry, invests more in skills and training because of the levy?

2. In your opinion, does CITB create positive outcomes in terms of: setting fit-for-purpose skills and competency standards delivering high quality training increasing the number and quality of new people joining the industry reskilling and upskilling existing workforce, with the required skills for now and the future?

3. Do you think that the CITB does a good job of communicating the support it offers? Do you feel informed about how CITB can help your business? How could CITB do this better?

4. Do you think the levy collection system is efficient and fit for purpose? 5. Do you find grant funding and wider support easy to access?
