L&SC Member enjoying year of success and recognition

Following their success at the Pitched Roofing Awards in November 2025, the team at Richard Soan have entered 2026 at full speed and strength. Shortlisted for two awards at the NFRC UK Roofing Awards in May, the team then went onto the finals of the Commitment to People Award category at this year’s Sussex Chamber Business Awards, followed swiftly by picking up a ‘Highly Commended’ accolade at the Sussex Heritage Awards 2026 for their Holy Trinity Church Eastbourne project. 

Celebrations will be in full swing at the Richard Soan Roofing Services charity event this August, a day held in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. 

Over the years, the event has raised essential funds and donations for the charity, with 2026 on track to take that figure to over half a million pounds.  

This dedication has been honoured with national recognition, as Richard was awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours List for services to young cancer treatment.  

It’s brilliant to see one of our Members gaining such a flurry of recognition for their services. Huge congratulations to Richard and team for their achievements, long may they continue!
