New SIMIAN Apprenticeship Start Dates

SIMIAN offers a number of apprenticeship schemes including in scaffolding, roofing, and civil engineering groundworks. Two roofing apprenticeship courses are due to start in the coming months and provide an excellent opportunity for new starters in our sector:

· Slating and Tiling – 18 September

· Waterproofing – 16 October

Note: All candidates will need to attend assessment days prior to enrolment. Becoming an apprentice is an excellent way for those new to the industry to learn while earning a wage and apprenticeships offer many benefits for both apprentices and their employers.

Apprentices gain specialist, nationally recognised construction industry skills and qualifications. For employers, it can boost productivity and help companies to compete in the modern marketplace. Research shows that over 75 per cent of employers agreed that taking on apprentices helped to make their organisations more competitive. The apprenticeships are open to all age groups, from school leavers to adults and provide a blend of workplace experience and specialist skills training.
