Nominations Open for UK Roofing Awards 2026
The awards are a fantastic opportunity to recap and recognise the achievements of your team and also celebrate the outstanding talent across the UK roofing industry.
There are sixteen categories covering the full range of roofing disciplines, alongside three individual awards.
Awards are given for projects in the following categories:
- Bituminous Hot Applied Liquid Waterproofing
- Cold Applied Liquid Waterproofing
- Fully Supported Metal
- Green Roofing
- Heritage Roofing
- Leadwork
- Mastic Asphalt
- Multi-discipline Project (over £250k)
- Rainscreen Facade
- Reinforced Bitumen Membrane
- Roof Slating
- Roof Tiling
- Sheeting & Cladding
- Single Ply Roofing
- Project Under £25k
- Solar
The shortlisting panel and team of judges look at these five key elements when scoring category entries:
- Complexity
- Challenge
- Workmanship
- Safety
- Project Management
Don’t forget PPE and good health and safety in all submitted photographs. NFRC advises that any images should ideally be at least 2MB in size and to include images that depict the full project throughout, rather than just upon completion. Whilst drone photos can be useful, avoid submitting too many as they are often very similar!
“A picture tells a thousand words,” says Bob Richardson, Head Judge of the awards.
The awards also recognise individuals' talents and contributions in the following categories:
- Young Roofer of the Year
- Health and Safety Individual of the Year
- Local Hero award (entries submitted via SIG Roofing)
One project will be awarded Project of the Year, and the Radmat Industry Choice Award will be given to the shortlisted project with the highest total of public votes.
NFRC encourages manufacturers, architects, and everyone working alongside roofers and cladders to submit entries for those they're impressed with. The contractors who win these awards get a real business boost, so if you see good work, please share it!
Projects must have been completed between the start of January and end of December 2025 by a roofing contractor belonging to NFRC or at least one other roofing trade associations.
