Stoke College Expands Training to Roofers–Sign up Now

This gives local roofing businesses access to a high-quality, nearby option for developing both new and existing staff.  

They are offering the Level 2 Roofer apprenticeship (Roof Slater and Tiler route initially) on a block release basis at the Burslem campus, with apprentices attending college one week in every five. The programme includes support from a dedicated tutor responsible for college delivery, alongside a Skills Coach who conducts regular progress reviews to ensure development both on and off the job.

Companies can enrol existing members of staff they already have in place or alternatively the college have full time students that are interested in pursuing a roofing career–they can arrange for a no obligation work experience trial so that the company can assess their suitability.

A structured training plan is created for each apprentice, focusing on building the required knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully complete the apprenticeship and progress within the industry.
