Skills Forum–Speak Up on the Challenges Facing Roofing Recruitment

NFRC is seeking insights from Members and the wider roofing and cladding community on the current skills and recruitment landscape as part of an AI-Powered Skills Forum.

Do you have views on recruitment, employee retention, or skills in roofing and cladding? Are you finding it harder or easier to bring in and keep the right people, or have you given up entirely? NFRC needs to hear from you.

Join NFRC’s online skills forum on Friday 12 September (14:00–15:00) – powered by the AI platform, Natter – and help shape how our industry tackles one of its biggest challenges: the workforce crisis.

You’ll have the chance to:

  • Anonymously share what’s broken in the current skills system
  • Exchange ideas and best practices
  • Contribute to an Action Plan Template to support success for new entrants, apprentices, and businesses

The more voices, the better – so please share this invite with colleagues, your subcontractors, apprentices, and any others within your roofing network by forwarding them this email. The event is open to everyone, including those who are not part of NFRC.

What is Natter

For this forum, we’ll be using Natter, an AI-powered conversational intelligence tool that connects participants in video conversations, anonymously captures perspectives, and intelligently analyses the responses.

The collective wisdom of all participants will be captured, and the insights and results will be shared with all those who participated, to help drive learning and mutual understanding.

How to Participate

Natter can be accessed on a computer or mobile and requires no apps or software, but we strongly recommend using a computer for best results. If you’re joining from a highly secure environment and want to test your firewall or any other settings, you can use Natter’s 2-minute Tech Check here

To participate, simply:
