UPDATE: HSGS05 Revision A - Controlling Silica When Disc Cutting Roof Tiles 

This guidance sheet gives information about the control of Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS) issues associated with the disc cutting of concrete and clay roof tiles. The imagery has been updated to better illustrate what poor and good practice looks like.  

GLOBAL ASBESTOS AWARENESS WEEK (1-7 APRIL 2026)

• Asbestos and You is designed for workers in skilled construction and building trades, focusing on how to stay safe on the job by avoiding disturbing fibres and knowing when to call in asbestos professionals. Resources include a quick guide for trades and a short introductory video. 

HSE have also produced some new graphics and a poster as part of their toolkits.
