New Hospital Programme

More than 180 supply chain representatives joined Build UK's recent webinar with the New Hospital Programme (NHP) to learn about the major opportunities arising from what has been described as the largest single investment in NHS facilities in recent decades.

During the session, Chief Operating Officer Rick Lennard and his team outlined priorities for the year ahead. The £37 billion programme will establish a long-term, nationally coordinated pipeline of hospital projects aimed at modernising healthcare infrastructure across the country. A Build UK member, NHP will adopt a standardised delivery model known as Hospital 2.0, designed to improve efficiency and provide greater certainty around programme, cost and quality.

Delivery will be underpinned by a new Hospital 2.0 Alliance approach, promoting consistent methods of working across projects. NHP expects to confirm the appointment of 10 principal contractor partners at the end of February, with mobilisation scheduled for the spring.

Companies seeking to engage with upcoming opportunities are encouraged to register on Contracts Finder, where NHP will publish contract notices, and to ensure their details are up to date on CompeteFor, which will advertise subcontracting opportunities. Businesses can also complete a short smart survey to receive market updates and keep informed as the programme progresses.
