Nominations Open for Local Hero of the Year 2026

We know that some heroes wear hard hats instead of capes and we don’t get to hear about all the great acts of kindness carried out in the roofing industry, but we believe they should be recognised.

The Local Hero Award, sponsored by SIG Roofing, is your chance to give back to someone who has gone above and beyond, making an impact in their local community. Whether it be supporting young talent in the trade, charitable efforts, or giving up their time to help someone in need.

Entering this award is completely free, and entrants can make more than one nomination. Rooofers can also nominate themselves.

Nominate your star customer or associate for the UK Roofing Awards here, to win the title of Local Roofing Hero. As well as a handsome trophy, the winner of the Local Hero award will not only receive 2 free tickets to attend this prestigious event in London and receive their award on stage. They will also get free accommodation in a top London hotel for the evening of the awards, plus holiday vouchers to the value of £2,500.

*2026 entry requirements. All category award entries must be roofing contractors that are members of at least one of the following trade organisations:

FTMRC, GRO, LRWA, MAC, MCRMA, SPRA, NFRC, NFRC Competent Person Scheme (formerly known as Competent Roofer).

All activities must have taken place during 2025. Entries must be submitted online. More than one entry can be submitted.
