Nominations open for UK Roofing Awards 2027
Whether you are a trade or supplier member, nominations can be made across sixteen categories covering the full spectrum of roofing disciplines, alongside three awards recognising individual success.
Awards are given for projects in the following categories:
- Bituminous Hot Applied Liquid Waterproofing

- Heritage Roofing
- Leadwork
- Mastic Asphalt
- Multi-discipline Project (over £500k)

Entering the awards is free, and businesses can enter multiple projects across the categories. Supplier members of NFRC are also able to nominate projects, as are members of any of the following trade associations:
- FTMRC
- GRO
- LRWA
- MAC
- MCRMA
- NFRC CPS
- SPRA
The shortlisting panel and team of judges look at these five key elements when scoring category entries:
- Complexity
- Challenge
- Workmanship
- Safety
- Project Management
Don’t forget PPE and good health and safety in all submitted photographs. NFRC advises that any images should ideally be at least 2MB in size and to include images that depict the full project throughout, rather than just upon completion. Whilst drone photos can be useful, avoid submitting too many as they are often very similar.
The awards also recognise individuals' talents and contributions in the following categories:
- Young Roofer of the Year
- Health and Safety Individual of the Year
- Local Hero award (entries submitted via SIG Roofing)
“The time has come once again to put your best work forward and be in with a chance of gaining industry recognition and build your reputation as the best in UK roofing,” says James Talman, CEO of NFRC.
“You don’t need to have the biggest budget or have the biggest team; it’s about delivering exceptional workmanship and delivering roofing excellence. I really encourage every member to put their project in the hat. You never know, it could be your year!” concludes James.
Entries close Friday 8 January 2027.
Whilst this is an earlier deadline than usual, this is to accommodate the event taking place in April, rather than its usual fixture in early May. NFRC advises that there will not be multiple extensions to this deadline, and to get entries prepared and submitted as early as possible.
NFRC gives thanks to the generous support of the award sponsors:
