Course Location
The following course is delivered at our Daventry Training Centre, NN11 8YJ. As we offer the CITB ‘Travel to Train’ grant for eligible apprentices, where CITB can fund 80 per cent of accommodation costs and additional funding for travel, we are currently training apprentices nationwide.
Duration
The National Construction College offers a selection of apprenticeship courses and workforce development training at our three centres based in Bircham (Norfolk), Erith (Kent) and Inchinnan (Scotland).
For apprenticeships: You'll earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience and an academic qualification delivered by our experienced instructors and supported by our on-site teams.
At Bircham Newton we have onsite accommodation where the delegates stay whilst they are on their block training days. During their stay, your apprentice will be allocated their own single en-suite bedroom, equipped with Freeview TV, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities, ensuring they have a comfortable place to relax after a day of training.
All meals are included as part of the programme and are served in our on-site restaurant, which offers a varied menu to suit a range of tastes. We can also cater for special dietary requirements, and apprentices are encouraged to speak to a member of our catering team on arrival if they have any specific needs.
The college campus offers a range of facilities to help apprentices feel at home, including an on-site Costa Coffee, a convenience shop for everyday essentials and snacks, a Welfare Area, and access to a gym to support their wellbeing during their stay.
At NCC, we are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and professional environment for everyone. Alcohol is not permitted within the accommodation, and all apprentices will receive an induction covering the college's drugs and alcohol policy, along with everything they need to know to make the most of their time with us.
- At Bircham we offer the Roof Slating and Tiling Apprenticeship as well as the Scaffolding one
- At Erith in Kent we offer the Scaffolding Apprenticeship
For Workforce development training – We offer a wide range of courses for plant ops, scaffolding, construction, health and safety, NVQ’s and plant mechanics. All NVQ’s are delivered via on site assessment so we come to the delegates place of work. We do some of it remotely too. This means we can cover all regions. Health and Safety courses are the suite of SSP courses, CDM regulations and Building Safety Act courses. Both open or in company and face to face or remotely.
