GN86 Contractual responsibility and statutory Building Regulations design duties

Although the Building Safety Act 2022 is often associated with higher-risk buildings, its reforms extend much further. Part 2A—Dutyholders and Competence—sits within the Building  regulations 2010 and applies more widely to building work in England, subject to limited exemptions. This can include roof refurbishment and overlay work where it constitutes building work.
