SkillBuild National Final
The SkillBuild National Final is back for 2023. Following the five regional heats that took place earlier in the year, the eight shortlisted finalists will compete in the final in November. The roof slating and tiling final will run alongside nine other construction trades under one roof at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes, from 21 to 23 November. Under the watchful eye of the expert panel of judges—Andy Rowlands, Bob Coutts and Matt Timby—the finalists will have 18 hours to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities whilst ensuring they adhere to health and safety protocols. NFRC would like to thank Supplier Members BMI, Cupa Pizarras, Hambleside Danelaw, Permavent and SR Timber who are kindly supporting the final by providing materials. The competition will be open to visitors on Wednesday 22 November and Thursday 23 November.
There is also the opportunity to have a go at a range of construction-related activities at the careers experience hub, which is open on the Wednesday from 10am to 3pm. We would encourage you to pass the details onto to any schools that you work with. Free registration for the event can be completed here. This includes CPD sessions you can book on to, have-a-go activities and registration of interest for stakeholder meetings. Good luck to all the Skillbuild National Finalists.
