There was no separate 2022 UK Roofing Awards as a knock-on effect of the global pandemic. Instead the 2023 awards recognised projects that had been completed within a two-year period (1 Jan 2021 to 31 Dec 2022) as opposed to the usual one-year qualification period.

Highlights of the 2021 NFRC UK Roofing Awards

A brief overview of the awards event that took place on 5 November 2021 at the InterContinental London—The O2 hotel. This film was edited during the event and shown on big screens at the after party [click unmute to hear the audio].

The global pandemic prevented the 2020 live event from taking place (despite it being postponed three times). However, as entries had already been submitted, finalists shortlisted and winners judged ready to be announced; NFRC instead sent a film crew (led by experienced BBC outside broadcast producer Dave Packham) to visit each winning project. The winning contractors, along with the category sponsor were invited along so that the trophies could be handed over.
