NFRC Scotland and IoR Scotland held a joint golf outing at Kirkintilloch Golf Club on 18 May which was yet another great success.
There was a “Shotgun” start and many prizes throughout the round including a Mini Convertible for anyone getting a hole in one on the 8th hole, alas despite the good weather, no one drove home with the roof down on a Mini.
The format was a “Texas Scramble” which allowed everyone to open up their shoulders and try to hit the cover off the wee white sphere but only with a few succeeding. I suspect that for a while, members of Kirkintilloch Golf Club will be finding golf balls in places they never thought possible.
The weather was very favourable and the course was in excellent condition followed by a lot of “if’s”, “but’s” and “maybe’s” over high tea and a drink.
Onto the prizes which were presented by Colin McCorquodale (NFRC Board Member and Immediate Past Chair of NFRC Scotland) to:
- 1st Place – Kingspan Insulation Ltd
- 2nd Place - SFS Group Fastening Technology
- 3rd Place – HSR
