Supply Chain, Contracts and Procurement in Low and Mid-Rise Housing

Members within the low and mid-rise housing sector are encouraged to respond to this research.

NFRC is partnering with the Finishes and Interiors Sector (FIS) to encourage members to take part in important new research led by the University of Reading into tendering, procurement and contract management practices within the low and mid-rise housing sector.

To participate in the research, complete the survey at this link.

The study, commissioned with support from Barbour ABI and a number of other trade associations representing specialist contractors, seeks to understand how current practices are affecting investment, productivity, and mental health across the supply chain in the low and mid-rise house building sector.

The report will cover key issues including:

  • Supply chain agreements and contracts
  • Risk management
  • Negotiation behaviours
  • National Deal Agreements and price fluctuations
  • Payment practices and retention management

Findings will be used to make practical recommendations to support industry transformation and the delivery of 1.5 million homes.

All responses are anonymised and handled sensitively. The more feedback received, the stronger the case for change, so please complete the survey yourself or pass it to the right person in your business and share it with other specialist contractors.

Complete the survey here.

Each respondent to complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win a £100 gift voucher

The survey closes at 5pm on Friday 3 October.
