The NFRC Competent Person Scheme is a government approved, UKAS accredited scheme covering England and Wales. Through a strict vetting process, the Scheme allows roofing contractors to self-certify that their refurbishment work meets Building Regulations requirements without having to obtain local authority building control sign-off.

As part of its ongoing development, we are seeking independent roofing professionals to assist the existing team of inspectors in delivering our audit and inspection services.

The main purpose of the role is to undertake assessments of NFRC CPS registered contractors to ensure their compliance to building regulations in line with the requirements of the Scheme.

We are currently recruiting for the following areas of the UK, although consideration will be given to those in other areas who can demonstrate competency in at least one roofing discipline:

• Central London and Greater London
• Midlands
• South West.

Qualification and Experience:

As a minimum requirement, you will hold a NVQ Level 2/3 in either one or more of the following roofing disciplines and have a proven track record in refurbishment projects;

• roof slating and tiling
• flat roofing
• sheeting and cladding.

Additional Information:

Hours: Flexible and variable hours (Minimum ten inspections per month)
Contract: Self-employed
